The Common Denominator of Success New! HOT!

Of course, like most of us, I’d been brought up on the popular belief that the secret of success is hard work, but I’d seen so many men work hard without succeeding and so many men succeed without working hard that I had become convinced that hard work was not the real secret even though in most cases it might be one of the requirements.

And so I set out on a voyage of discovery which carried me through biographies and autobiographies and all sorts of dissertations on success and the lives of successful men and women until I finally reached the point at which I realized that the secret I was trying to discover lay not only in what people did, but also in what made them do it!

The Winner’s Notebook The Winner’s Notebook

Earl Nightingale, realizing that writing down ones goals and desires is an important part of the equation for achievement, he wished to publish a book which would provide, not only information and inspiration, but give the reader space on each page to jot down their individual thoughts and ideas as they read his messages and became inspired. Claiming it as their personal "winner's notebook" becomes a positive affirmation that they are now, and will always be, a "Winner"!

WW II Poems New!
Earl loved to celebrate special occasions and always managed to surprise me with something very special on those romantic holidays such as anniversaries of when we met, married, and of course, Valentine’s Day. He’s been gone now for almost 18 years, and it must be true that love never dies because he still finds ways of making those special days surprising for me in some way. Therefore, I wasn’t surprised today, while searching through the archives of old Nightingale documents, papers, scripts and photographs, that I found, yet another treasure -a treasure that has been tucked away since World War II.

Christmas Letter New!
I took a few days last week to put up some Christmas decorations. I don’t go as hog-wild as I used to when the kids were small, and certainly not as elaborately as I did when Earl was alive. Earl loved the holidays and we always started decorating the day after Thanksgiving and left everything up until after the Orthodox Christmas in late January.

From Darkness to Download
Well, unlike reading books, electric light bulbs, the telegraph, and phonographs (that's what he called them) really caught on. While the light bulb served many useful purposes, the telegraph was able to transfer words from one place to another, and the phonograph became a really big hit when music could be magically transformed and captured into tiny...

Some time ago, I wrote an article in which I talked about my heart, the problems I had with it and what I was doing about it, then I took the information off of my site.  Since then so many people have written wanting to know more and asking me to please share my story with them again and with others who may have similar symptoms; so here it is.

In my mid-thirties, I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse. I was told that while it could be frightening, it would never kill me. I was young, believed what I had been told, and went on with my life as usual. It fluttered now and then, but it would go away and I didn’t really think much about it.

Then, in my mid 40's, Earl and I were traveling on a plane to Florida when my heart went into a wild irratic mode - something unknown, and foreign to me. It frightened me, and it frightened Earl. When we landed in Florida, Earl took me immediately to a doctor friend of his, who had taken care of Earl when he first had his heart problems. The doctor grounded me for three months while we tried different types of treatments. Each day that passed seemed to me that I was just getting closer to death. Finally, after more tests, it was determined that I had severe mitral valve prolapse and told that there wasn’t really anything that needed to be done. That I probably had added anxiety attacks when my heart lost it’s rhythm and not to worry. But, I did.

Over the next years, my MVP attacks came and went, until 2002, when it appeared that they had come to stay. Over a period of months, my heart raced so severely that surgery was suggested. I didn’t want surgery because Earl had died following his. I looked on the internet and found that while MVP won’t kill you, a coinciding blood clot might. I couldn’t leave the house. I sat in my chair and started leaving notes for my kids so that they would know where to find important things when I died.

Then something miraculous happened. I was able to get myself to my daughter’s for a visit. While there I met two men who were selling a product they suggested I try. They told me it would help my heart. "Another snake oil", I thought. Then one of the men, Jess, suggested that I come to his office to take a test. I had nothing to lose and so I went.

Jess, put a little clip on my finger and explained that the machine would detect my heart rate, any abnormal beats, and in addition, it would rate the condition of my arteries based on how well the blood flowed through them and their elasticity.  When we finished, it showed an irregular heartbeat and my arteries were rated at age "82". Scarey news!!!! So, I started taking the product, which contained l-arginine. I didn’t expect it to work, but was willing to give it a try.

About a month later, I realized that my heart seemed to be settling down. It raced less often, and strangely, my digestive tract was working just fine. No more stomach upsets and my energy was really high. As time passed, I felt so good that I continued to take my l-arginine faithfully, and soon I was back to my old self.

Two years ago, I came down with an inner ear infection and went to the doctor. During my exam, he listened to my heart. He had a strange look on his face as he listened. Then he looked at my chart and listened to my heart again. Then he studied my chart once more and again listened to my heart. The puzzled look on his face concerned me, so I asked him if something was wrong? He asked if it wasn’t true that I had come to him some years before with MVP? I told him I had. He remarked that my chart showed that the erratic beat of my heart back then had been severe. He asked if I’d had surgery because my heartbeat  now is perfectly normal!

Two weeks ago, I had the same test done that I’d had done before. This time, my heart rate was an even 75, and my arteries have the elasticity of a 40 year old. That’s remarkable!!

I take two products for my heart from the same company, depending on whether I am home or traveling. At home, I use VitaMist’s, CardioMax in my morning drink. If, I’m on the road, I use the spray - CardioCare.  I use all of the spray vitamins, minerals and health supplements, and I feel great! I look great! If, I were a vain person, I could even lie about my age and get away with it!

I won’t promise you that you will have the same great results as I, but I do highly recommend that you give these products a try! If, you have mitral valve prolapse, I sincerely hope that you will experience the same happy results.

If, you're just interested in taking the purest ingredients for optimal health, then, please, give them all a try. You’ll love the convenience of the sprays and what’s more, you benefit from the full strength of each supplement since it doesn’t have to pass through the stomach first. No bad vitamin taste and no added fillers that you get with pills and tablets.

I urge you to at least take the time to read about these great products - you owe it to yourself and then share the information with the ones you love.

Be blessed on your journey,

Diana Nightingale

Acres of Diamonds
One of the most interesting Americans alive around the turn of the century, was a man by the name of Russell Herman Conwell. He was born in 1843 and lived until 1925. He was a lawyer for about fifteen years, and then he became a clergyman (I think he was a Baptist) . . .

Clean, at What Cost?

Clean at what cost?

Looking on line to find out if it was safe to wash silk and rayon, I came across a frightening piece of information. I didn’t know . . . did you, that:

Almost all dry cleaning establishments in the country clean with perchloroethylene (perc), a probable carcinogen, neurotoxic chlorinated solvent that bioaccumulates in fat and is suspected endocrine disrupter, meaning it is a chemical that may confuse the body into thinking it is estrogen?

I got this from www.care2.com/channels/solutions/home/133

With information gathered from this site, I now safely wash the clothes I used to have dry-cleaned.

The "ides" of March
Earl Nightingale began his "two lives" in the month of March. He was born to his earthly life in March, and was born to eternal life in March, as well. Each year since his passing I have endeavored to present something of Earl’s works to his followers in the month of March. This year, I just want to share some of the great lessons I learned from him that have enhanced my life and, my journey without him, in hopes that you, too, will find something of value which will enhance your life.

Attack on America
As morning blossomed on the east coast, men, women and children reenacted countless daily routines in preparation for leaving for work, school, and leisure. Morning routines that were carried out with the usual precision/ chaos that comes only from years of coexistence with other household members as they learned to move in and out of bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchens in a kind of dance-like fashion, while urgings of haste to stay on schedule were often times interrupted to hunt for lost sneakers, homework, or reports for the big meeting, until finally...

It is our attitude that determines what happens to us in life. As William James of Harvard once put it, “It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than anything else will affect its successful outcome.”

A Best Seller
One of the greatest things that can happen to a person - - and it happens to only a few - - is to produce something that becomes a best seller. It can be a product, a service, or in its most familiar sense, it can be a book, a song, or a recording. No one can say exactly what makes a best seller, but when...

Defining Success

Much has been written about this word “success” and what it means, how to achieve it. I looked up what some of the great minds of the past had to say about this interesting condition . .  .

USS Arizona - Pearl Harbor

I grew up during the Great Depression, and after my father left us, my mother, two brothers and I lived in Tent City, in Long Beach, California.  What we lacked in monetary wealth, Honey, our mother, more than made up for in love and guidance.  It was she, who developed in me, my love for books, and I longed for the day when I would be old enough to set out into the world and visit some of the far off places I had read about.

It's Friday, but Sunday's Comin

Earl passed away the day before Easter, in 1989, and a few months later, a friend gave me a cassette to listen to. It was by Dr. Anthony Campolo and titled, "It’s Friday, but Sunday’s Comin."

Reflections and Recollections From The Desert

Earl was an early riser - - always popping out of bed with a great idea to write about and share with his many followers, so by mid-day, he was ready to shut off his typewriter, go to lunch and go off to “seize’ what was left of the rest of the day.  I loved that each day I shared with Earl began in the same secure and loving way, but how it unfolded was always new and surprising, and totally unpredictable.

The Wedge of Discouragement

Have you ever felt discouragement so deeply that you had a hard time coming up with a good answer for living?

Well, we all have from time to time. And I got to thinking the other day about a fable I read some while back. I don’t remember where I read it, or who wrote it, but, here it is as well as I can remember it . . .

Pumpkin In A Jug

In the fall when the leaves are turning, a chill is in the air and roadside merchants offer fall apples, squash and pumpkins, I am reminded of the farmer who was walking through his pumpkin patch early in the growing season, and while walking near the road that ran by his farm, he found a one-gallon glass jug that some motorist had tossed into his field. He stood looking at the jug for a few moments, and then for no particularly good reason, he poked a small pumpkin into the jug without damaging the vine . . .
